Getting your medication after we leave the EU

We are receiving numerous enquiries about where to get medication if there are shortages after Brexit.

We would not recommend buying any prescribed medication online as there is no guarantee that these medications are made to meet safety, efficacy and quality assurance as demanded by our drug manufacturers, medical governance and  British National Formulary requirements https://bnf.nice.org.uk/

Purchasing prescribed medication from a pharmacy abroad is possible, however in our experience, Pharmacists would only supply a small amount at one time usually to cover a patient who needed a short supply.

If you are concerned about supplies of medication please speak to your GP.

The government has issued information with regard to stockpiling drugs and the link can be found here - https://www.england.nhs.uk/eu-exit/medicines/medicines-faq/
